Position Overview:
The MRO Supply Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory, procurement, and logistics for maintenance, repair, and operating supplies. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all necessary materials are available for production and maintenance activities while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the inventory of MRO supplies, including tools, spare parts, and other materials, to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate the procurement of MRO items and quotes with the Senior Buyer.
- Track shipments and delivery schedules, resolving any issues related to delivery delays or discrepancies.
- Work closely with the Maintenance, Production, and Purchasing teams to identify and fulfill material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Analyze inventory usage patterns to optimize reorder points and reduce excess inventory.
- Assist with budgeting and cost-control initiatives related to MRO supplies.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, lead times, and other terms of supply agreements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards for stored materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or relevant certification in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards for industrial materials is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works within the factory-setting: concrete floors, cold and hot temperatures seasonally.
- Frequent walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, carrying, and bending.
