Job Description:
The Provider Contracting Coordinator - Network Development and Relations-Dental works directly with our Provider Network to develop and strengthen relationships. Educating our providers on the value of participating in the *** Dental Network and creating a mutual professional relationship with those providers, is key to the growth of the Network. The ability to work with dental offices to recontract on updated service agreements and create an “easy to do business with” environment for the providers is a key function of this role.
• Excellent oral and written communication and people skills
• Great organization and multi-tasking skills
• Above average knowledge of Excel
• Ability to easily pick up new systems/applications
• Educate Provider Offices on all existing and new products and plans
• Provide support to Provider Offices on all maintenance and service issues
• Assist with member/provider disputes and provide assistance to SIU and G&A
• Work with existing offices to initiate, negotiate and execute provider contracts and agreements
• Research, as needed, office’s existing contract status including locations and providers
• Work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action
• Analyzes financial impact of contracts and terms
• Maintains contracts and documentation within a tracking system
• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed
• Follows established guidelines/procedures

WORK STYLE: Remote
WORK HOURS: Typical business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week) in the employee's time zone, with some flexibility possible depending on business needs.
Very rarely will before/after hours, nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime be offered and will not be required.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience within the dental field/industry (ie clinical experience, billing experience, front office/reception experience, sales/marketing experience, etc)
• Detailed oriented and organized
• Proactive thought leadership/Root Cause problem resolution skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional people skills
• Comfortable learning various systems
• Ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Desire to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
• Computer Proficiency and Experience: Excel, Power BI and Outlook
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant business experience in contracting
• At least 3 years of experience in Health Care industry
• Customer Care/Service Experience
• Experience in managed care contracting and/or provider relations
• Familiar with ADA codes
