Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Occupational Therapists (OTs) in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients recover and enhance their daily living skills.
Conduct therapy sessions, including exercises and therapeutic activities, to improve motor skills, strength, coordination, and functional abilities.
Document patient progress, changes, and responses to therapy in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and activities to promote continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and the best outcomes for patients.
Comply with facility and state regulations, as well as national certification standards for Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Qualifications:
Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Current state licensure or ability to obtain licensure in the state of the assignment.
At least 2 years of recent experience as a COTA,.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams.
