DescriptionJob Title: MTS Field Applications EngineerJob Location: San Jose, CAJob ID: AI2256 Job Description: SiMa.ai is looking for a MTS Field Applications Engineer to join our leading machine learning software and semiconductor company and be responsible for pre- and post-sales support in the United States
Pre-sales tasks include winning designs using SiMa.ai’s Software Development Kit (SDK) and MLSoCTM devices, delivering technical presentations, demonstrating SiMa.ai’s technologies and working closely with the extended SiMa.ai team to drive design wins
Post-sales tasks include assisting customers with their designs, training customers, assisting with design conversions, providing benchmarks, and working with other SiMa.ai teams to improve the overall customer experience. FAE Scope and Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify sales opportunities working closely with the sales account managerDevelop and deliver technical proposals to various customer technical teamsTechnical solution creation (e.g., hardware and software demos, running example networks)Guide customers through their design processProvide onsite support to solve real-time problems with the software tools and any board and system bring up issuesManage technical support issues within the customer baseProvide feedback on customer needs and inputs for future product developmentWork with partners to support joint solutions for customers as appropriateTrain customersRequired BackgroundBS in computer science or electrical engineering with 12 - 15 years of experienceExperience with first level customer engagements and ability to communicate clearly at a high system and deep technical levelExperience working on problems with a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of many factors and demonstration of good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for reaching solutionsPerform complex work on a wide range of difficult problems and exercise initiative and good judgment to identify and implement solutions for these problemsExperience working with hardware and software groupsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to keep learningExperience supporting customers in robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems and automotive markets or vision applicationsHighly desirable: - Solid understanding of embedded processor systems and architectures - Experience enabling ML solutions for embedded applications - Arm SoC and CV exposure and experiencePersonal attributes: Can-do attitude

Good communication skills.The Annual salary for this position ranges from $175000 to $231000 plus variable incentive (MBO/sales-commission)
The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands
The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
