The Avionics Way:    

We are looking for an innovative and passionate software engineer to join our team!

As a skilled Maintenance Graphic User Interface (Maint GUI) developer, you will be responsible for developing Maint GUI software. You will be joining an experienced and collaborative team, and work alongside other engineers and developers working on the next generation of Maint GUI, Maint4. What you will be doing:    

• Collaborate as part of development team to design and develop the next generation of Maint GUI, Maint4, in the in-flight entertainment & connectivity ecosystem.
• Participate in agile / scrum software development, including requirement review, scope planning, and retrospectives. Continuously improve quality and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain both software components and automated unit tests.
• Conduct design and code reviews with other team members and maintain documentation.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with the latest industry standards & best practices for design, code quality, performance, and security.
• Support software releases including monitoring and defect resolution when needed. Troubleshooting software in both development and lab environments.

The salary range of $93,000 - $157,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.

Requirements we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 - 10 years of software development experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in GUI design and implementation.
• Working experience with JavaScript, CSS and HTML is a plus.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, PHP and Linux environments.
• Experience with GUI design and implementation, and User Experience (UX).
• Experience with agile software development process.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze business requirements to see the “big picture" and propose the most suitable technical solutions.

Nice To Have:

• Familiarity with NodeJS, JEST, QML, React, MySQL, Behave, and AWS Cloud Computing.
• Working knowledge Python, C++, networking, Git, and any GUI App (Content: HTML, Presentation: CSS, JavaScript: Interactivity).
• Experience with CICD and automated testing frameworks.
• May require travel up to 5% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.
