Job Description
Assists Discipline Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and/or Engineering Manager with all aspects of the project engineering from proposal to final report by performing any of the following duties.
Internships will run from June 2 nd – August 3 rd .
Responsibilities
+ Support engineers in research and analyzing of data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
+ Review project drawings, standards and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
+ Assist engineer with major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications.
+ Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
+ Produce CAD models/detail drawings.
+ Applies design standards & procedures to implement basic design.
+ Ensure that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations and laws.
+ Assist with the preparation of estimates, cost reports, forecasts, schedules, account codes, budgets and change orders.
+ Coordinate quantity estimates by obtaining and analyzing data on unit labor costs and unit material costs.
+ Update estimates, schedules, reports, drawings and documents based on revisions and changes to the project.
+ Assist with preparation of final project reports including obtaining historical data and information.
+ Conduct quality checks of databases, documents and reports, to verify accuracy of data, information, and calculations.
+ Assist in preparing, maintaining and filing of departmental policies, procedures, and manuals.
+ Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information.
+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
+ Must be a NANA shareholder. NANA shareholders own stock in NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.
+ Must be 18 years or older.
+ Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time and have completed one semester of postsecondary education.
+ College sophomore level or higher with degree declared in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Project Management.
+ Intermediate skillset with MS Word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software. Some exposure to computer aided drafting and engineering software preferred.
Preferred Requirements
+ Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy is preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.
Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
Travel: Employee may travel up to 25% to various locations within the U.S. and/or remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes and ATVs.

+ Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and supervisor.
+ Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of employees, clients and vendors
