Job Summary
Reporting to the Strategic Accounts Manager, the Sales Support Specialist will assist the National Accounts sales team and customers with customer requests, and sales team support. This includes administration of files and data, analyzing trends to support account growth, responding to customer requests, assisting with trade show needs, and corresponding with customers and internal teams to ensure needs are addressed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting and analyzing pricing data by running monthly pricing files, reviewing customer-specific pricing, and comparing data to RJ Schinner cost files.
- Administering pricing data for accuracy by making adjustments and/or reporting discrepancies to field Sales Representatives.
- Administering regular sales reports, conducting sales analysis and report findings to appropriate Sales Representatives to assist with increasing business.
- Respond to customer requests for product data and sourcing queries.
- Coordinating with the procurement team and vendors to obtain samples for customers as needed.
- Support tradeshow activity by assisting with tradeshow preparation, reviewing and compiling leads, and coordinating between national accounts and field sales reps on sales opportunities.
- Assist with troubleshooting problems with customer orders, customer accounts, and other related items.
- Work with Account Managers to create and implement targeted sales strategies; Make recommendations to improve sales based on data analytics.
- Keep up with new product sales launches and communicate with sales team.
- Respond to customer pending orders and customer requests
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Experience:
- High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or Better Preferred
- 3-5 years of customer service, marketing or sales experience
- Prior experience working with an ERP software program strongly preferred.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to achieve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office; Intermediate-to-advance knowledge for Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interact and professionally communicate with multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to analyze data, identify problems quickly and implement appropriate solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and detail orientation.
- Ability to adjust to differing personalities and build relationships within a diverse setting.
