With plans for expansion, they need a National Sales Director to contribute their expertise, leadership, and network to guide a successful sales team and increase revenue streams for all lines of business.

Position is mostly remote.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage, mentor and assist sales teams in acquisition of new business and retention/expansion of existing accounts.
Participate in creation of national sales budgets and goals.
Develop strategies to meet revenue, profit, and volume targets.
Explore and plan entry into new markets and verticals.
Provide sales forecasts and monitor actuals vs projections.
Tap into existing relationships to bring forth new opportunities.
Design solutions to improve clients' supply chains.
Travel for client and Company meetings.
Requirements:

Approximately 10 years of freight forwarding/logistics/transportation sales experience.
Track record of winning profitable TPEB/TPWB business and generating revenue.
Solid understanding of ocean freight, airfreight, Transpacific trades, Customs brokerage, warehousing/distribution, IT, and value-added global logistics services.
Success supervising sales teams, coaching, and obtaining buy-in for new strategies, goals and procedures.
Strong industry network, and connections with importers and exporters who could be introduced to the Company.
Track record of winning profitable TPEB/TPWB business and generating revenue.
Solid understanding of ocean freight, airfreight, Transpacific trades, Customs brokerage, warehousing/distribution, IT, and value-added global logistics services.

Excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and sales planning skills.
Adaptability according to economic factors, rates, market conditions and industry trends.
Fluency in Japanese - verbal, written, reading - is a plus.
