About the Job
Our nationally recognized Media Communications client is seeking several Android and iOS Developers for long-term contract opportunities. These Developers will be responsible for building the next generation of new media technology across multiple platforms, including tablets, phones, gaming systems and Smart TVs. These initiatives include hands-on development of front-end applications. Success will be measured by the velocity of products launched and customer satisfaction achieved.
Responsibilities:
. Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
. Responsible for the software development efforts across multiple platforms including mobile, tablets, browsers, gaming consoles and Smart TVs
. Translate product feature requirements into high performant, scalable software solutions
. Build in accordance with web and mobile development best practices
. Ensure alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions
Required Skills:
. 3-5+ years of Native Mobile Development (Android and/or iOS) with experience designing and coding utilizing Java and/or Objective-C, JavaScript and CSS
. Possess a firm understanding of Web 2.0 technologies, protocols, data models and user interface programming
. Experience in medium to large scale consumer-facing product development
. Proven track record building and releasing new products from conception to production
. Possess a deep technical knowledge of client side UI/UX development across multiple platforms and form factors (web, phone, tablet, TV, etc.)
. Solid understanding of Web-oriented architecture, RESTful services, JSON
. Deep hands-on knowledge of mobile specific tools, best practices and challenges
. Understanding and ability to manage multifaceted new media platform systems
. Good organizational and office management skills
. Product Development environment experience preferably in Cable, Telecommunications, Software or Web Services
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
