Navigation Supervisor - Covenant Logistics

About the Job
The purpose of the Navigation Supervisor position is to support the oversight, administration, and ongoing development of the company’s commercial vehicle navigation systems to ensure they are consistent and effective. Navigation plays a critical role in the day-to-day activity of drivers and company operation as a whole. This includes coordination with multiple departments for workflow creation, preparation of KPI metrics, documentation, training, auditing, and change recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Review navigation related settings in multiple system (Co-Pilot, Navigo, PC Miller, Trimble, Platform Science, Omnitracs, etc.).
- Create and report on navigation related KPIs.
- Maintain schedule and workflow planning for navigation team.
- Create and maintain initial and ongoing training for navigation team.
- Coordinate training requests from non-navigation team staff.
- Provide feedback to navigation related system vendors for system corrections and/or improvements.
- Coordinate with IT and other internal depts for system upgrades/deployment/changes/etc
- Report to management on current system issues and plans to address.
- Report to management on system developments/improvements.
- Map and geofence locations within navigation related systems.
- Review and summarize individual events related to navigation.
- Communicate with Drivers and Operations team members regarding navigation needs and options.
- Maintain a consistent navigation experience for professional drivers and facilitate communication regarding
- changes/updates as they occur.
- Attend meetings to report on and/or learn how navigation impacts other areas of the company.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, in person and web based.
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Project planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Office 365, Teams)
- Ability to read maps and U.S. Geographical skills.
- Ability to learn new applicable software both directly and indirectly related to navigation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- GED or equivalent required.
- 2+ years transportation industry experience required,
- Prior navigation, or other experience in online platform management/administration as a business user preferred
- Experience with Co-Pilot, Navigo, Telogis, Omnitracs, Platform Science, or other commercial navigation/telematics platforms preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $45,011-$69,576
Pay Grade: 7
