Noblis MSD is seeking a Senior Navy Combat System expert to support the NSWC Port Hueneme Air Dominance Department by providing technical and engineering support for the planning, execution and post event analysis of AEGIS Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT) and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Test and Evaluation (T&E) events. The candidate can be in the Port Hueneme CA, San Diego, CA or Norfolk, VA areas. General responsibilities and tasking include:
- Providing technical support to AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) Interface validation, shipboard integration, waterfront integration tests, analytical services and in-port and at-sea assessments.
- Providing engineering services in support of tactical and operational interoperability during test and evaluation, integration of BMD Defense capabilities aboard AEGIS ships.
- Providing test and evaluation data analysis and training required to support Combat System Interoperability for Strike Group and T&E events.
- Providing technical support to BMD System Engineering efforts and applicable installations on AEGIS Destroyers.
This opportunity is a salaried position with additional compensation paid during underway assignments. Ship Event support could span several months and includes travel for inport preparation periods (1-2 weeks) and short duration underway events (typically less than 30 days) Travel up to 40% - CONUS and OCONUS.
Required Qualifications:- Candidates should have significant knowledge and experience with AEGIS Combat System (ACS), AEGIS Weapon System (AWS), Tomahawk Weapon System, Shipboard Radar Systems and other weapon and combat systems.
- Proven experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing shipboard electronic systems. Ideal candidate will have recent experience as Combat System Maintenance Manager (CSMM) on an AEGIS ship.
- Minimal specific experience and skills include:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical filed or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- At least twelve (12) years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing Navy Combat Systems, Weapon Systems, Computer Networks and/or Display Systems.
- U.S. Navy certification in Fire Control Navy Enlisted Codes (NECs) related to ACS, AWS, ACI/Networks or other integrated weapon systems.
- Recent experience working on board US Navy Ships (in port and at sea).
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Aegis BL 9 or newer experience
- Master Training Specialist Designation
- Combat Systems Maintenance Manager

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
