Position Summary:
Under general supervision, operates Amada brake machines to produce quality parts. Requires a working knowledge of various processes and operations to meet production requirements.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Operates Amada brake machine, power notcher and roller, hand brake, Haeger machines, drill and kick presses, and SPH-13 machines
- Coordinates each job with set-up person to ensure full understanding
- Ability to do simple set-ups on proven jobs according to standards
- Safely loads any tools and dyes necessary for each individual job
- Ensure that route sheets are complete and concise
- Ensure manufacturing drawings have the correct revision level, notes, tolerances, and dimensions
- Monitor cycle times and calculate PPH
- Complete move tickets, cost over run, and job routing system supplements.
- Inspect all finished parts thoroughly
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to receive verbal or written instructions that pertain to daily tasks
- Ability to listen and take direction
- Ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrate good hand and eye coordination
- Can safely lift 35 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours
- Able to work overtime and day/swing shift as needed
Education & Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have previous press brake experience
Hours/Shift & Location
San Jose, CA
Day Shift: 5:00am-1:30pm
Swing Shift: 1:30pm-10:00pm
