The Non-Destructive Inspector provides timely nondestructive inspection support to engineering and operations based on OEM engineering and contractual flow down. They accurately interpret customer and industrial specifications and provide direction to achieve customer compliant components.
In a typical day, your expertise:
- Provides nondestructive inspection and supports NDT engineering to help execute technical requirements and methodology of customer product
- Creates inspection techniques conforming to Technical or Customer Specifications
- Performs NDT evaluation of NTi materials to support Corporate, Commercial, Engineering and Operations objectives
- Maintains Calibration of Non-destructive equipment
- Performs inspection utilizing various inspection equipment/processes, e.g., FPI, UT and Radiography
- Assists with production implementation of NDT; products, methods, or processes related to industrialization of additive manufacturing
- Resolves and/or documents issues arising from inspections
- Proposes improvements to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc.
- Adheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines
- Provides support to management as required with assigned tasks
- Supports and performs additional quality inspection activities including raw material and consumables, 3D scanning and dimensional control, CMM operation, electrode analysis
- Other duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of business

We're thrilled to find candidates with:
- Technical education including a minimum of an associate degree, certificate from an NDT Trade School or high school diploma with equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of NDT experience as a Level I or II in Ultrasonics or Radiography
- Preferably a ASNT SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II in Ultrasonic
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably in NDT evaluation.
- General understanding of CATIA or similar CAD software
- Familiarity with various NDT methods including the complimentary nature and limitation of each method
- Ability to interpret and apply Technical Specifications and Customer inspection requirements
- Familiarity with calibrated measuring devices
- Intermediate computer-skills experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
- Fluent mastery of English language
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit in front of a computer for 8 or more hours daily
- The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to; stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and controls, to operate a computer and telephone keypad
- Good vision (20/20) with or without corrective devices and the ability to distinguish colors The ability to lift, bend, stoop, and walk up/down stairs and ladders regularly
