Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our client team in scenic Elmira, New York. Ideal candidates will be strong clinicians who work well in teams, adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines, and provide high-quality care. Experienced NNPs are preferred, but new NNP grads are welcome to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide neonatal care at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
- Work collaboratively with Neonatologists and NNPs.
- Ensure high-quality patient care in the Level-III NICU.
- Provide 24-hour, in-house coverage, as well as transport call.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and assess critically ill newborns in the NICU.
- Utilize services such as conventional ventilation and HFOV.
- Offer comprehensive women’s health services, including MFM services.
- Manage a 20-bed, Level-III NICU with an average of 1,500 deliveries/year and almost 300 NICU admissions.
- Support from pediatric sub-specialty and excellent nursing staff.
Schedule and Shift Details:
- 24-hour, in-house coverage with transport calls.
- No on-call required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) (cannot accept other NP certifications).
- NY license (or willingness to obtain).
- Experienced NNP preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Not accepting locums candidates.
