Compensation
The salary for this role is $88,000 - $105,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Generation NERC Compliance Analyst to support the LS Power portfolio of Generation Assets, which are located in multiple regions nationwide. This position serves as an administrator and coordinator for generation regulatory compliance at LS Power. As a compliance analyst, you will support generation compliance oversight activities under the jurisdiction of numerous regulatory bodies including but not limited to FERC, NERC, and regional RTO/ISOs.
Responsibilities:
What you will do:
- Support the development and maintenance of our corporate-wide compliance program across LS Power’s Generation fleet to include NERC, RTO/ISO, and FERC regulatory requirements.
- Assist with managing compliance evidence and documentation related to data requests, self-reports, mitigation activities, legal holds.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Key Stakeholders including NERC compliance vendors, LS Power asset managers, plant O&M staff, and LS Power peers.
- Develop knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and regional RTO/ISO requirements.
- Assist with maintaining compliance monitoring and tracking spreadsheets and department metrics.
- Administer and complete user updates to ERO portal accounts and the NERC Alert system, process Oati and ERCOT digital certificates, complete updates to other systems as needed.
- Monitor development of new/updated NERC Standards and other regulatory requirements; includes NERC comments and balloting.
- Attend NERC regional entity and RTO/ISO webinars as applicable.
- Develop and/or proofread memos, letters, procedures, policies, PowerPoint presentations and related documents as needed.

- Hold a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or other relevant degree preferred
- Have 0-5 years of experience doing compliance related work; preferably in the electric industry.
- Pass a 7-year background check
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
- Can set priorities, follow-through, and respond to changes in a dynamic environment.
- Are able to multitask and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Work independently with direction on a regular basis
- Have the ability to learn new regulatory requirements and software as necessary
- Are comfortable with the occasional travel that may be required, approximately 10%
