Real Job Title/Description - Solutions Developer/This position is responsible for providing technology solutions for Fixed Income trading, Investment Compliance, and related processes. The associate will work closely with trading and investment personnel, as well as middle- and back-office technology groups to design, automate, or enhance processes and applications which serve to optimize data usage in, and communication with, trading-related software. This position must work with minimal supervision in the creation and maintenance of moderate- to highly-complex solutions that are critical to trading operations and compliance. Must work closely with the business to determine root cause of problems. Develops alternative solutions and supporting arguments for their recommendations to the business unit and Project Managers for decision making. Developing project resource estimates and meeting project deadlines. Managing competing priorities of multiple projects and initiatives. Although the Sr. Solutions Analyst does not have direct report responsibilities, they will mentor Solutions Analysts and other less-tenured Sr. Solutions Analysts working on multiple projects throughout their department as a primary aspect of their regular job responsibilities. This will include, but is not limited to, training on all facets of the software development methodologies; coaching on interviewing and requirements gathering techniques; and review of project deliverables developed by other associates. The Sr. Solutions Analyst is competent to work at the highest level on all aspects of the system development life cycle. |
