Responsibilities and Duties:
The individual interacts with SMEs to translate functional requirements into IT requirements.
Develops complex software in C#, VB.net or other selected languages for applications consistently following Dresser-Rand coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology
Develop a Rapid Proof-of-Concepts to bridge the gap very effectively between how the software is envisioned during requirements definition and how it is ultimately delivered to the user community.
Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project
Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
Perform unit test as per the functional requirements
Occasionally Provide 'User Support' for tools deployed on production environment.
Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems.
Requirements:
A bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering with 5+ years of experience in the field of Software Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Deployment and Support.
(Or)
A master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering with a minimum 3+ years of experience in the field of Software Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Deployment and Support.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 w/ Framework 4.0, C#, WPF, LINQ, Lambda Expressions and Prism architecture.
At least 1 year of experience in developing application using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript technologies like jQuery.
Proficiency in database programming with T-SQL language for SQL Server 2005 and 2012.
Proficiency in .Net technologies including VB.Net and ASP.Net.
Experience in writing WCF contracts, service runtimes, messages, channels and service hosting.
Ability to clearly and precisely communicate, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
Candidate should be self-motivated, well organized and able to prioritize the work. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work off hours when required.
The candidate should have a legal authorization to work in the USA.
Advantages:
Mechanical Engineering discipline is a plus.
Microsoft Certification on any of the listed requirements above is a plus.
Experience in developing Windows-based applications for Citrix Delivery Platform.
Experience in creating Object Model, E-R Model, Use case diagrams, Sequence diagrams and other UML diagrams. (The candidate to specify the tools used to create these models and diagrams)
Real time experience in Optimization of source code, memory leaks, resource usage and Application performance (The candidate to specify the tools used – if any)
Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.
Proficiency in C++ programming and debugging on Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
Experience in making custom installation packages using InstallShield, Visual Studio Deployment Package, VB6 Setup1, PkZip, etc is a plus
Previous experience in development of any software application related to Engineered-to-Order type of business for any product line is a plus.
Experience in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
Proficiency in Oracle RDBMS backend, Forms and Reports
Basic knowledge of Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors, Single Stage and Multi-Stage Steam Turbines, and Gas Turbines internals will be a plus.
