Job Description:
- Sound working knowledge on SAN and NAS technologies
- Involved in Provisioning of storage allocations, capacity management, data migrations, performance analysis and management.
- Administration and configuration of NetApp SAN storage arrays (preferred), EMC Clariion arrays.
- Experience in Installation, Configuration and integration of NetApp filers with the Windows and UNIX domains.
- Experience in Storage Technologies like SCSI, FC, RAID and Storage Virtualization.
- Experience in using Navisphere and NaviCLI to work on SAN infrastructure.
- Good knowledge on RAID levels and implemented almost all levels.
- Used RAID-DP protection to prevent data loss in the event of second drive failure without excessive redundancy costs.
- Experience in Administration of Storage to Multiprotocol Environments like CIFS and NFS in NetApp SAN/NAS environment
- Created and configured CIFS Shares, NFS Mounts, Quotas, Groups and Permissions on NetApp NAS.
- Worked on Qtree Security style issues like providing same Qtree to both NTFS and UNIX users.
- Experience in Zoning, Masking, mapping and storage provisioning in NAS and SAN environment.
- Maintenance and Monitoring of NetApp storage by Configuring Aggregates, volume, Qtree and snapshots using Filer View.
- Experience in implementing NetApp Snapsuite solutions like Snapshots, SnapMirror, and SnapVault, SnapRestore for backup, migration and disaster recovery.
- Experience in implementing Business Continuity Solutions using Mirror view, Snap View Clone/Snapshot at CLARiiON level
- Expertise in data migration from EMC Clariion to NetApp Storage System
- Planned and implemented High availability & Disaster Recovery of SAN/NAS Storage.
- Excellent experience in administration and configuration of Brocade and Cisco FC Switches
- Expert understanding of HBA's (Qlogic, Emulex) FC switch architecture, configuration, and management (zoning, fan-in / fan-out, ISL's, lun masking, etc), and relevant multi-pathing/failover device driver technology.
- Perform capacity planning and reporting to ensure efficient use of storage.
- Responsible for the network connectivity issues which includes Fabric switches, routers, firewalls, storage (NetApp, EMC), and backup/restore.
- Expertise in multi-vendor operating systems which includes Solaris, Linux, Client-UNIX, and Windows
Preferred
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) desired
- Information and Storage Management (ISM) Certified Professional desired
- ITIL V3/V2 desired
