Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented NOC Network Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for providing ongoing network support, addressing availability issues, resolving performance problems, and offering overall level two support in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking and a commitment to maintaining high standards of network performance and reliability.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities may include:
- Provide ongoing support for network infrastructure, addressing issues related to availability and performance.
- Evaluate hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks.
- Manage and optimize network performance, diagnosing and resolving issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems to ensure quality transmission services.
- Report on overall network performance, including identifying frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans for improvement.
- Provide timely and efficient incident response and resolution in a 24/7 environment.
- Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Security+ Certification.
- Proven experience in networking, with a solid understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in networking or related fields.
- Experience working in a NOC or similar operational support environment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
