RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assists network administration projects as assigned by Network Operations.
- Provides guidance and support to the Junior Network Specialists.
- Assists with technical and administrative functions of the network to include troubleshooting outages/issues, providing technical solutions, configuration of network infrastructure devices, maintenance of network devices, and configuration of network management tools.
- Troubleshoots network issues and resolves network tickets from network users.
- Responsible for assisting Senior Network Specialist with all aspects of configuration management including documentation such as drawings, standard operating procedures, RMF artifacts, and literature.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- IAT Level II CWF / IT Level II Privileged Access.
- 3 years of experience with configuration of Cisco Networking Products to include management devices.
- Capable of implementation and analysis of DoD IT requirements including STIGs, RMF requirements, and prior work experience with the DoD networks.
- Preferred experience with Navy RMF and Navy and NAVSEA networks.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is preferred.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
- Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
- Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
- Assisting in the development of new initiatives
