About the role
We are looking to add a Network Administrator to our growing Operational Technology Department. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and configuration of our network infrastructure. This hydrid position will directly support our Operational Technology operations at our Austin, TX office.
Essential Functions
- Configuring network hardware: Installing and setting up servers, routers, and switches.
- Handling repairs and maintenance: Upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting network issues.
- Assisting with Network Design and Architecture.
- Firmware and License Maintenance for Network Hardware.
- Ensuring network security: Implementing security measures, monitoring network availability, and maintaining integrity.
- Installing systems: Supporting internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure and Networking Fundamentals.
- Expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and similar Hardware.
- Experience with SCADA Systems.
- Self-reliant and proactive, capable of taking the initiative on existing and new projects.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS/CS or Equivalent.
- 5 years or greater experience with Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Networking.
