TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Network Administrator working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Network Administrator is to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Vice President of Information Technology on major projects
- Suggest all hardware for the company
- Maintain software license compliance
- Operate system maintenance of all servers; including virus protection, system updates, and general housekeeping efforts
- Ability to administer all network
- Log and manage inventory
- Assist with help desk support
- Review applications, system and security logs on a regular basis
- Assist in preventative maintenance of computer and network hardware
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- MCSE, A+, CCNA, VMWare Certifications
- Continued knowledge of Exchange Server, Windows Server, SQL Server
- Working knowledge of Extreme Networking, Ruckus
- Experience with other 3rd party software packages required for the job
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
- 2 year degree or related work experience
- Ability to stay current with technology
