Responsibilities also include conducting completed in-home fiber broadband installations, repairing buried service wires and distribution facilities, and preparing data for field result documentation and reporting.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of traffic control setups according to municipal standards.
- Oversee cable/fiber placement and splicing activities, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
- Manage the construction and installation of in-home fiber broadband services.
- Perform repairs on buried service wires and distribution facilities.
- Prepare, document, and report field inspection results accurately.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in both underground and aerial utility construction, including manhole and conduit work.
- Familiar with Outside Plant (OSP) Safety and Quality Procedures (e.g., GO95, GO128).
- Ability to interpret engineering work prints, ROW documents, and track, monitor, and update job status databases.
- Experience in preparing work requests, verifying change orders/invoices, and ensuring documentation completeness before job package submission for final closing.
- Knowledgeable in fiber broadband FTTP installation, ONT and Wi-Fi activation, GPON & XGS testing, and BSW placement standards.
- Skilled in fiber feeder and distribution fault isolation, troubleshooting, and damage restoration.
Additional Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation during inspections.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
