Job Description:
The Network Engineer position supports the Government customer's development, fielding, and sustainment of Mission Partner Environment (MPE) networks and technological solutions. You will apply your knowledge of network and transport layer engineering to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities, modernize, and optimize existing capabilities, and leverage your technical knowledge in support to mission critical projects to enhance national security.
MPE Future State tasks include defining performance requirements, clarifying service delivery specifications, capturing trade-offs, and promoting traceability through all phases of development, testing, and delivery. The Network Engineer role involves utilizing technical knowledge and engineering tools and methodologies to define and connect pieces across numerous functional elements and branches within the Mission Partner Capabilities Office. All products and deliverables are defined, maintained, and delivered within ISA's and the Government's delivery and storage requirements.

(This work model is only used when a position cannot otherwise be filled with onsite personnel and is allowable by client requirements. This work model is offered as required only.
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer will support the Government's efforts to drive technology and complete technical activities required to sustain extant information sharing systems while enabling planning, design, testing, fielding, and integration of MPE Future State systems.
Duties:
- Leading and facilitating technical analysis, review, and discussion.
- Researching and implementing enterprise-wide network solutions, capabilities, and enhancements to support government mission goals and objectives.
- Assisting in the development of roadmaps for capabilities, operations, and technologies.
- Executing all Statements of Work tasks along with supporting emergent customer requests
- Embodying and reinforcing ISA's culture and mission-focused delivery approach.
Other Duties:

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Clearance Required:
Applicants must have at least an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a clearance at the TS/SCI level. Preference will be given to those who have an active TS/SCI clearance. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.
Experience Required:
We are currently hiring Network Engineers levels 1 through SME.
Experience should include but is not limited to working knowledge of:
- Network design and implementation, including routers, switches, firewalls, session controllers, servers, and load balancers.
- Network security protocols and best practices, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management.
- Network protocols and technologies such as TC/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs.
- Routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Ability to research, document, edit, and maintain technical information for network systems documentation.
- Data Science, Business Analysis, Intelligence Analysis, or Consulting
- Ability to conduct technical trade studies, collect and analyze data, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ability to analyze customer capabilities and develop requirements.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Required). Master's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
Certification:
No certifications required.

Salary at ISA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The salary range for this position varies dependent on years of experience, relevant certifications and education. Salary is just one component of ISA's total compensation package for employees.
Starting Salary Ranges:
- Network Engineer: $89,961.00+
- Network Engineer SME: $175,177.00+
