This key contributor role will work as part of a regional team to support and maintain the network services assigned to their region. These services include but are not limited to routers, switches, DNS/DHCP, wireless, and Radius/TACACS. Each region will be assigned specific hospitals and remote offices to support.
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure and support of layer 2 and layer 3 routers, switches.
2. Install, configure and support of wireless controllers and access points.
3. Install, configure and support of appliances dealing with DHCP and DNS services.
4. Install, configure and support of racked based uninterrupted power supplies.
5. Support and maintain Radius and TACACS servers.
6. Creating and maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams.
7. Maintain databases for items such as equipment inventory, circuit ids, pictures and IP addressing.
8. Upgrade all network equipment operating systems for security and increased functionality. Monitor all equipment and data circuits assigned to the region.
9. Will be part of a rotating on-call system to provide critical off hours support on weekends and evenings (required to carry a pager and be reachable by cellphone). Assist other network regions as required. Travel to hospital and remote locations to resolve issues or perform project tasks.
Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or GED required.
2. Certificate 1 Cisco Cert Network Analyst preferred.
3. 3-5 years related work experience required in supporting and configuring Cisco network equipment running at layer 2 and 3.
4. Experience support Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Point, running 802.1X
5. Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific functional area and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience supporting routing protocols, including OSPF and EIGRP.
2. Experience with Ekahau Pro for wireless planning and support.
