Network Engineer
Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the enterprise network across multiple offices and plants.
IPC is a fully integrated foodservice and private label producer of fresh and processed meats based in Delphi, Indiana (near Lafayette, Indiana). Since the start of operations in 1991, we have experienced rapid growth from a single pork processing company into a multi-plant diversified producer of fresh and processed meats, with locations throughout America's Heartland.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Network performance and reliability.
- Copper and Fiber Cable Management.
- Suggest improvements to the network to increase capacity, scalability, and resilience.
- Maintain understanding of current vulnerabilities, attacks and countermeasures.
- Identifying operational security risks and accurately reporting risks to management with recommendations for corrective action.
- Report performance against established security metrics by monitoring, measuring, testing, and reporting on the effectiveness and efficiency of information security controls.
- Work with software manufacturers to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Provide a technical point of escalation and technical guidance for Systems Support Analysts, Tier I and II.
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or related and sufficient work experience.
- 5+ years related Network Engineer experience in a Cisco environment to include in-depth background in Routing and Switching.
- Experience in designing and setting up SD-WAN platforms.
- Virtual Networking for Type 1 Hypervisors.
- Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- CCNA or equivalent certification.
- In depth technical and hands-on knowledge of protocols and standards: TCP/IP, 802.1x, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, EVPN, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, GRE, RADIUS, IPAM and NTP.
- Experience with management of Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, High Availability setup
- Experience with management of Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, High Availability setup, FIPS operating mode, GlobalProtect client VPN, SSL Decryption, App-ID updates, User-ID deployment.
- Strong experience in building site-to-site IPsec tunnels, routing protocols, VLANs, threat prevention and intrusion detection/protection.
- Wireless network management, access point configuration and management.

Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily performed in an office & plant environment requiring the ability to sit, talk, hear, frequent walking, standing, and sitting; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Ability to use standard office equipment such as telephone, computer, and copier.
