We have an opportunity available in Denver CO for a Level I Network Engineer, requiring 1-2 years of professional work experience supporting ServiceNow and IT/network operations, while adhering to ITIL best practices. This is a hybrid, night shift position.
Applies advanced networking concepts in the analysis, study, and design of data networks. Analyzes network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommends modifications to network components. Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations. Plans installations, transitions, and cutovers of network components and capabilities. Resolves network problems to obtain operation access to platforms/applications.

responsibilities:
This role will function as INOC Technicians responsible for 24/7, year-round monitoring of the entire network and infrastructure. Initially, these positions will likely be night shifts, with a high potential to transition to day shifts following a 9-week training period. Swing shifts may also be incorporated, but the primary expectation is to start with night shifts, with the flexibility to move to day shifts after training.
The primary responsibilities include monitoring most systems within the INOC, handling a large volume of intake calls, maintaining active communication with the team, and addressing high-priority situations related to applications, locations, and the criticality levels established within INOC's major incident processes. This role requires the capability to address any technical issue at any level.
Resources are expected to collaborate both with each other and cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure continuous system monitoring. They must understand the triage order, know which teams and resources to approach for support, and engage in basic triaging and incident management. The role involves using ServiceNow to work within a ticket/queue system for issue resolution and may occasionally include operational technology tasks.
