We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer I in our Lubbock, TX office. Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
- Create and manage tickets for network issues.
- Troubleshoot network and server problems.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Develop knowledgebase solutions for common issues.
- Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
- Efficiently handle incoming/outgoing calls in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
Qualifications
- Experience with Layer 2 Ethernet switching, DHCP, DNS, and Linux command line.
- Knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and general networking principles.
- 0-3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks (entry-level and experienced candidates welcome).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer/management information systems, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
