Job Description:
This is an engineering position within the Technology Environments and Strategy group reporting to the Senior Manager of Network and Video services. The TES group has responsibility for supporting the Comcast IP network and transport infrastructure to meet the requirements of the Converged Regional Area Network (CRAN).

Job Description:
This is an engineering position within the Technology Environments and Strategy group reporting to the Senior Manager of Network and Video services. The TES group has responsibility for supporting the Comcast IP network and transport infrastructure to meet the requirements of the Converged Regional Area Network (CRAN).
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with IP routing and related technologies required (TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, IPv6, CIDR, UDP, TFTP, DHCP, NAT/PAT,DNS, DOCSIS)
- Working knowledge of OSI model required
- Specific knowledge of Cisco routers, especially the IOS-XR based required
- Specific knowledge of Juniper routers and the JUNOS operating system required
- Specific knowledge of layer 2 switching required
- Experience with Metro Ethernet and MPLS services preferred
- Experience with TDM/Cellular Backhaul services preferred
- Knowledge of DOCSIS and related services preferred
- Experience with multicast (PIM, IGMP) a plus
- Broad knowledge of CMTS's a plus
Professional Experience
- 3 to 6 yrs of direct experience in the design, testing, and implementation of IP router based high-speed technology in an ISP or equivalent environment.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Creative, self-motivated team player willing to participate in developing cutting-edge solutions
- Clear and effective verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
