About the Job
The Network Engineer provides network design inputs for the creation and review of necessary documents, including VISIO and PDF files, Installation Guides and diagrams for the purpose of building a patient monitoring system. Work with project management and design teams to ensure approved standards, processes are followed, and priorities are properly aligned.
Essential Functions and Main Duties
- Responsible for the creation of the network system design of documents for each planned installation within the Monitoring Business Unit
- Reviews all installation orders and posts all documents related to each order on the company's internal database
- Orders necessary installation supplies for each installation planned
- Develops network and antenna system designs
- Develops design documents for presentation to patient monitoring customers
- Designs documents including, but not limited to the following:
- Network topology diagram
- Network Switches
- Network Switch Configurations
- Ensures that network design documentation is correct, complete and completed on time
- Reviews work, addresses questions, and assists with all aspects of configuration and installation
- Provides necessary information as requested by Technical Support and Repair Center
- Completes projects or other duties as assigned or required
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with employees and customers
- Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously
- Politely obtains and conveys information as needed
- Maintains the Company's professional reputation
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.
Compensation
The anticipated range for this position is $55,000 to $81,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Qualifications
Education / Certification / Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Associate level network certification or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in network planning, design and configuration
- Extensive knowledge of networks, cabling, and/or general construction or design planning
- Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills

Working Conditions
Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion. The primary working environment will be a home office with up to 80% of time in customer/hospital site facilities
Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
Travel: Approximately 80%
Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
