As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the Edge Networking team. Your role will be to provide multiple-tier network support to highly complex edge networks. You will be responsible for providing technical support for planning, designing, maintaining, and integrating local and wide area network infrastructure. Input into the edge networking architecture deployed throughout the Enterprise will be part of your duties. Communication skills and a high level of technical expertise with numerous years of experience in a large environment are essential.

The hourly range for roles of this nature is $40.00 to $60.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Expertise in installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN appliances, wireless infrastructure, and cellular-based appliances.
- Experience with associated hardware and software management.
- Proficiency in using industry tools for network management, including monitoring, testing, verification, and troubleshooting complex network problems.
- Ability to resolve issues by working with users, service providers, and business partners.
- Skills in planning and designing LAN/WAN network architecture.
- Experience in network bandwidth analysis, capacity planning, and creating detailed specifications and schematic engineering drawings.
- Experience with the execution of network deployments and upgrades.
- Involvement in change management efforts, including participating in change management with agency and edge networking teams.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow for trouble ticket resolution and reporting.
- Ensuring trouble tickets or incidents are fully documented and follow established processes.
- Experience providing tier 2 support for widespread events/incidents.
- Ability to proactively identify and troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Participation in the evaluation of new and emerging technologies.
- Ability to make recommendations as part of hardware refresh cycles and prepare technical solutions for current and future network needs.
- Experience in creating configuration standards and designing complex networks.
- Ability to document network components using Visio diagrams and prepare configuration documentation.
- Ensuring that all networks meet or exceed security requirements.
- Knowledge of various routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and automation.
- Skills in supporting remote IT staff and business partners with network-related issues.
- Effective communication, both verbal and written, with employees, vendors, and business partners.
- CCNA and CCNP certificates or higher are preferred, but candidates with demonstrable levels of commensurate hands-on experience will be considered.
