Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an SE-3 Network Engineer for the TMAS 2 96 CTG Task Order, supporting the 46 TS / TGBC. This position provides support to the 46th Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL where you will function as a member of the network engineering team responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of networking systems within the DTL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- An active Secret clearance adjudicated within the past five years is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
- A minimum of 3-10 years of recent network engineering experience with hands-on knowledge maintaining network infrastructures, working with Cisco networking equipment.
- DoD Information Assurance, 8570 IAT Level II, Security+ or better required within six months of employment.
- Able to travel 5% of the time to remote test locations both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Must possess effective oral and written communications skills, with the ability to function successfully in a team environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- An active Cisco certification is desirable.
- Experience hardening network systems using current DISA STIGs preferred.
- CAT-5/6 and fiber optic cable installation experience desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a network engineer for the DTL supporting Link 16 datalinks test events through the development and implementation of datalinks network environments.
- Installs, configures, and maintains Cisco switches, Cisco Identity Services Engine, and fiber/copper cable infrastructures.
- Identifies and implements industry best practices and DoD security compliance standards.
- Monitors and optimizes network performance, monitors network usage and security.
- Analyzes current network capability and future requirements to propose network optimization and new network solutions; deploys network upgrades where applicable.
- Troubleshoots and resolves network related problems and outages.
- Performs other related functions as required to advise and assist the customer in the successful accomplishment of test support and test execution.
