Description:
Conduct site surveys to assess and determine the optimal placement of wireless equipment.
Design wireless networks including access points, controllers, and other related components.
Develop detailed network diagrams and documentation.
Install, configure, and test wireless network equipment.
Perform network integration with existing wired networks.
Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment
Strong understanding of wireless networking standards (e.g., IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
Proficiency in designing wireless networks for various environments (e.g., Enterprise, Campus, Data Centers)
Ability to perform site surveys using tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar.
Understanding of RF principles and spectrum analysis
Experience with wireless access points, controllers, antennas, and related hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Aruba
Familiarity with wireless LAN controllers (WLCs) and management platforms.
Knowledge of Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X, etc.).
Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, QoS, and other networking protocols.
Excellent knowledge on IP Addressing and Subnetting, VLAN and trunking, Routing and Switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, ISIS, STP, LACP etc..
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
