About the Job
Connsci is seeking a Network Engineer to join our organization in support of one of our key government clients. This individual will be responsible for designing, upgrading, and maintaining networks in an enterprise setting. Specifically, this individual will be tasked to:
- Participate in the design, testing, upgrade and integration of new or existing information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Voice over IP (VoIP), intranets, extranets, and other communications networks in accordance with the organization's business requirements.
- Document all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of networks.
- Coordinate changes such as implementation of new networks, upgrades or version increments to existing networks with network administrators and stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard new and existing networks.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
- Coordinate with architecture and evaluate new and emerging network technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.
- Assist network administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
- May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed networks in lab or production environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Network Engineering
- Active Secret clearance per Federal stipulation
- Active Security+ certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Possess one or more relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCDP, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE)
