CTG is seeking to fill a Network Engineer opening for our client in Somerset, NJ.
Location: Somerset, NJ
Duration: 3 months with extension up to one year
Duties:
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain and manage computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
- Plan, install, configure, and test networking equipment.
- Create and manage firewalls, update virus protection software, and implement data security systems.
- Monitor systems to improve network performance across all platforms.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network-related issues.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Skills:
- Network designing and configuring experience, especially related to Cloud (Azure) and OnPrem network
- Proficient in network management and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, routers, and other networking hardware.
- Experience with data security protocols and virus protection systems.
- Ability to analyze network performance metrics and implement improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network infrastructure management.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting complex network issues.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
