Network Infrastructure Engineering Manager

The Manager of Network Infrastructure Engineering will lead the oversight, management, and support of the company’s enterprise network systems. This role is responsible for managing a team of engineers, ensuring effective delivery of projects, and collaborating with various IT departments to meet business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of engineers tasked with supporting network infrastructure and business-critical applications.
- Lead the planning, design, deployment, and security of network components such as Cisco switches, ASA VPNs, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless networks, and Azure cloud integration.
- Act as the lead support for network operations, diagnosing and resolving complex system and server issues, and directing responses to critical incidents.
- Manage regular maintenance schedules and ensure optimal system performance through continuous monitoring, resolving alerts, and conducting preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with incident and problem management SLAs.
- Provide technical expertise for complex troubleshooting, and assist engineers in resolving advanced issues.
- Train team members on networking tools and enforce adherence to required processes and standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours production support.
Preferred Certifications:
- Strong preference for certifications such as CCNP Security, CCNA Security, PCNSE, or CISSP.
- Knowledge of project management practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Additional certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, or Microsoft technologies are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in IT leadership roles focused on service and product management.
- At least 3 years managing network and security operations, including Azure AD, cloud security, and integration with third-party applications.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and cloud network security.
- Proven ability to open and manage priority incidents with external vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving complex network issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise infrastructure and how its components integrate.
