Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge in service provider using high-speed networking devices such as servers, switches, routers, firewalls, deep packet inspection (DPI) systems, and DDoS
- Extensive knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP networking design, concept, and routing protocols such as BGP, Anycast, GRE, and ISIS
- Must able to operate in Windows, Linux, Unix, VMware, Openstack or cloud environments
- Advanced working knowledge with BGP protocols related to DDoS architecture and design
- Familiar with Load Balancing and Web Application Firewall
- Must able to analyze traffic from network packet captures, FW, DNS, Web Application security, Netflow, malware, and others
- Identify the vast majority of common, uncommon and unique DDoS attack vectors, trends, report and mitigation methods
- Experience with vendor selection, lab testing, proof of concept for new technologies
- Engage with Business Services to explain and promote DDoS product offerings
- Advanced programming abilities in Python or similar language
- Expected to respond to escalation 24/7 from Security Operation Center for network, application, or DDoS issues
- Highly motivated to work in the high-pressure environment
