Job Title: Network Security Vulnerability Engineer
Duration: 12+ month contract
Location: Remote
Position Description:
The Security Engineer will be responsible for the security aspects of complex technology implementations within a product-centric environment. Ability to bridge the gap between legacy development or operations teams, fostering a shared culture and vision. The Security Engineer will ensure that developers create secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users. Experience in white-hat hacking and a strong foundation in fundamental computer science concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews.
• Develop and implement technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Conduct research to identify new attack vectors.
Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks.
Skills Preferred:
• Understanding of network and endpoint security, asset tracking solutions, and threat modeling.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and traffic analysis tools, including Axonius for cybersecurity asset tracking, Tenable.Io for vulnerability management, and Tanium for vulnerability and patch management.
• Proficiency in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI, as well as utilizing Vulnerability/Patch Management APIs and Python scripting.
Experience Required:
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in developing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Education Required:
• A bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or engineering field.
