This is a remote position. We will only consider applicants within a one-hour driving distance within DMV/metropolitan Washington DC, as the position requires 10% travel due to the nature of the position.

REQUIRMENTS:
Maintain and Upgrade Systems: Ensure optimal performance and reliability of servers and client networks through regular maintenance and upgrades.
Server Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of server hardware, applications, and settings.
Active Directory and GPO Management: Manage Active Directory and Group Policy Objects to streamline user and system administration.
Network Connectivity and Security: Guarantee secure and efficient LAN connectivity, implementing robust security measures.
IT Security Assessments: Conduct thorough security assessments for internal and external clients to identify and mitigate risks.
Network Component Maintenance: Regular maintenance and repairs on network components are performed to ensure seamless operation.
Network Monitoring and Security: Support network monitoring efforts, install security programs, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Performance Monitoring and Vulnerability Identification: Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential vulnerabilities.
Standardize OS Images: Develop and deploy standardized operating system images across the organization for consistency and efficiency.
Implement Network Policies: Develop and enforce network policies and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
MEC Application Support: Provide comprehensive support for MEC applications and infrastructure to internal and external clients.
Communication and Task Management: Exhibit strong communication skills and effective task management abilities.
VMware, Windows, and Linux/Unix Administration: Administer and support VMware, Windows, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Documentation Development: Create detailed support documentation using Visio, SmartDraw, Lucidchart, and Microsoft Office tools.
Jira for Ticket Management: Utilize Atlassian Jira for efficient ticket management, resolution, and documentation.
Data Center: Rack configuration, wiring, power, and cooling knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support overall IT

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to organize effectively, collaborate with teams, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows 7-11 and Windows Server 2008-2022.
- Proficient in deploying and managing infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, and Group Policies.
- Over five years of experience managing and administering MS Azure Cloud and MS Office 365, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Four-plus years of experience in overseeing a medium-sized Amazon AWS environment.
- More than six years of expertise in managing VMware ESXi and vCenter Server.
- At least six years of professional experience in a network administration role, with working knowledge of configuring Cisco, Brocade (Ruckus), and Aruba network equipment.
- Five or more years of hands-on experience with network, routing, switching, wireless, and VoIP technologies.
- Knowledgeable in disaster recovery and backup strategies, monitoring systems, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical abilities, with experience in both forward and reverse-chain troubleshooting techniques.
EDUCATION:
- An associate degree or bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience.
- Active CISSP or CCNA certification is a plus.
- Active Microsoft Certifications are a plus.
