Title: GGC Network Support (743742)Location: 1000 University Center Ln, Lawrenceville, GA 30043Interview: Web Cam Interview OnlyThe Network Support focus will be helping resolve support tickets surroundingVoIP, port/cable checks, Wireless network connectivity issues for staff,faculty, and students, UPS replacements, inventory/data gathering, and othervarious duties.This role has the ability to be a hybrid role, but does require on-siteattendance during normal business hours (8a-5p EST), after-hours work, and up to2 days remote, with Director approval. During the on boarding and learningprocess, it will be expected the role would be on-site.Job DescriptionUnder broad supervision, combines strong technical skills with knowledge ofnetwork administration. Provides technical support to development team members.Work on one or more projects of high complexity within areas of expertise. • Collaborate with the Network Team and Department Director to ensure networksecurity and connectivity. • Provide end-user support for Tier-1 and Tier-2 level network issues based onbusiness priorities. • Assist in deploying/maintaining core switches/routers. • Deploy, maintain, and manage telephone system: SIP (session initiationprotocol) , PRI (primary rate interface), and VoIP (voice over internetprotocol). • Maintain host name servers and their IP addresses which include DNS (domainnamed service) and DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol). • Maintain VLAN and IP address schemas. • Ensure proxy authentication through NPS (network policy service) and Radius. • Resolve escalations on an array of end-user telephony issues, and wirelessand wired networking problems. • Configure/deploy/troubleshoot WAPs (wireless access points) and theircontrollers and management systems. • Be on-call 24x7 in case of emergency network issues and to handle any outagesrelating to the network/telephony. • Manage day-to-day administration of Campus Switches, Routers, and Firewalland their supporting applications. • Document completed projects and tasks. • Insure efficiency, security, reliability, usability, and scalability ofnetwork equipment through proactive monitoring and automation. • Research and make recommendations to improve networking andtelecommunications standards and processes. • Maintain VoIP Call Center, hunt groups, and call routing. • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues with little intervention fromothers or documentation. • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience. • Ten years of experience working with IP networks and supporting systems. • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Palo Alto Global Protect VPN and CiscoVPN including remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution (or equivalent experience with similarhardware/software).
