The IT Support Specialist responds to and monitor service requests within IT Service Desk system providing a positive customer experience over phone or in person when required. The position will also provide support to IT initiatives, including

- Respond to and monitor incident and service request with the IT Service Desk system, providing a positive customer experience over the phone or in person when required.
- Maintain accurate status of all tickets assigned in the IT Service Desk system, providing timely follow up to end-users.
- Support of Windows devices & peripherals, cellular devices, telephony, point of sale systems, video conferencing equipment and services
- Support of Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and EndPoint Manager/Intune.
- Assist with leading and implementing IT related projects as needed.
- Assist with HIPAA and IT Security audits contributing to report on findings.
- Develop and maintain documentation on hardware and software how-to and procedure documents for both end-users and IT staff.
- Assist with recommendation, creation, and training of staff regarding technology, security and HIPAA implemented within the Alumus organization.
- Always assessing security issues and providing recommendations to help maintain security of patient, employee and organizational data.
- On-call rotation with team, holiday/weekend/evening shifts required.
- Frequent scheduled and unscheduled travel to local and non-location locations.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers.
- Must develop and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with associate and vendors.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and professional etiquette.
- Ability to listen to users articulate problem or business process and analyze multiple solutions to provide a well thought out solution to improve user experience.
- Must be technically competent and able to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to work independently and have a strong sense of organization, critical thinking/troubleshooting skills, time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, generally with tight deadline.
- Must be able to clearly articulate and educate technical concepts to non-technical personnel and possess the ability to handle difficult/sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Must possess a solid knowledge of the Windows desktop operating system environment.
- Knowledge of PC applications, such as Word, Excel or other off-the-shelf applications.
- Must possess an overall understanding of both LAN, WAN, and WLAN concepts.
- Demonstrated understanding of cloud-based services and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
- Must understand Voice over IP (VoIP) concepts.
- Strong understanding of IT security fundamentals, best practices, and relevant industry regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in a Microsoft Windows support role, OR minimum of two (2) years collegiate studies in information services.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with maintenance of safe driving record and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
