Network And Systems Engineer - TEKsystems

Network Engineer is responsible for designing and creating the computer networks for the organization in order to ensure our IT systems are working both safely and correctly. Including If the network stops working, the Sr Networking Engineer is there to make diagnose and solve the issue so that it can easily be restored. Network Engineer is also responsible for implementing security systems that ensure data is not compromised in any way. This position will require some travel to all of the company’s locations. Adheres to requirements pertaining to bank security, fraud prevention and BSA.

Day to Day Tasks include:

• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the network architecture

• Designing and implementing business solutions using common network equipment

• Monitoring and diagnosing performance issues

• Develops strategy of system and the design infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.

• Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.

• Sets standards for the client/server relational database structure for the organization (SQL, ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.).

• Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

• Tracks current plans that will require IT resources. Monitors and reviews the success of systems and ensures efficiency and effectiveness.

• Recommends future computer system technologies that will help in the improvement of business in the organization.

• Integrates IT solution systems for the business with the existing client systems.

• Designing, writing, and updating both system documentation and network diagrams

• Various other duties as needed or assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree (or more) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5 years minimum previous work experience as a Networking Engineer with advanced knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure

• Advanced knowledge of the network operating systems and understanding of key networking hardware (including CPUs, wiring, and routers)

• Comply with all federal and state regulations and rules impacting this position, meet all risk and compliance obligations, including the completion of required training.

• Knowledge of communication and routing protocols

• Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Solar Wind

• Proficiency with various different coding languages

• Strong leadership and team mentoring skills

• Exemplary communication skills
