Marathon TS is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support a federal client in Washington, DC. The candidate will install, maintain, test complex infrastructure hardware and software issues. They must be able to work independently within given boundaries and think critically.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve various issues with server, network, and storage infrastructure.
- Perform build, configuration, and implementation of server infrastructure both virtual and physical.
- Take ownership of incidents and identify problem trends to improve the overall dependability of the environment and meet appropriate Service Level Agreements
- Maintain and support production environments consisting of Microsoft Windows Server and VMWare
- Write scripts and procedures for daily operations.
- Provide WAN/LAN/MAN support for multi-vendor environments, connectivity and configuration management, soft/firmware management.
- Provide VoIP support, including network configuration, QoS and CoS classifications.
- Provide remote access support for F5 load balancing infrastructure, to include: F5 LTM, GTM, APM and VMware Horizon Integration.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant networking/systems experience
- 1 of the following certifications: M365E/X, VCP, CCNP, LPIC or Linux+
- Bachelor's Degree in networking, systems engineering or similar field
- Active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Experience deploying servers or embedded systems and sub-components.
- Analyze system performance and identification of risks.
- Deploy and support of virtual network infrastructures including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Server Virtualization Infrastructure
- Develop System Design documentation
- Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of IP networking technology.
- Knowledge of and VPN solutions.
- Strong problem solving, analytic, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well independently under pressure and time constraints, in a small team environment.
