Required Skills

Minimum of 3-5 years of Telecom Networking related experience with specialties in supporting one or more areas: • Medium to large enterprise networking infrastructure/services. • Core Networking Technologies - Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, Wireless LAN • Transport technologies - MPLS, Frame Relay, VSAT, Leased lines, campus cabling • Network Security - Remote Access Technologies, IPSec • Voice Service technologies: PBX, VMX, Call Center-IVR, Cisco IP Telephony, Microsoft LYNC • Data Centre Services - Application Accelerator, Load Balancer • Routing Protocols - BGP, ISIS, EIGRP Vendor familiarization - Cisco, Juniper, F5 General

Job Description

Summary:

Develop and perform implementation activities for projects

Perform Quality Assurance activities including identifying and submitting network design issues to Engineering

Participate in Follow-the-Sun (FTS) on-call rotation

Primary contact for vendor TAC in support of operational problems

Develop and maintain Technical Support process and deliverables

Develop and maintain process for hand-over of technology and service to Operations

Develop and maintain Network Service Support Models Develop and maintain Operations Practices Develop and maintain workflow automation

Other Responsibilities:

Assist with development and maintenance of Network Service General Practices, Network technology, and service ISRMPs

Network technology recommendations

Network device OS recommendations

Technology training program

Network service strategy

Device configuration standards
