Description:
Steward Medical Group is currently seeking an experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding neurology department at St. Elizabeths Medical Center, in Brighton, MA as the coordinator for the Stroke Program. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with hospital clinical and administrative leadership and professional organizations to facilitate the development of the Stroke Service at St. Elizabeths Medical Center (SEMC), participates in meetings as appropriate to assure effective communication, and provides expertise in the areas of stroke specialization. This position will develop and promote a standard of care consistent with decreasing inpatient resource utilization, and contribute to service excellence at the hospital and outpatient level in accordance with the goals established in the guidelines of JCAHO and SEMC policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
MSN degree required
Two to five years of NP experience in Neurology preferred
Current Massachusetts Board of Registration Nurse Practitioner License
Current certification through either American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
Current Federal DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance registrations
