Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care Responsibilities
+ Provide direct clinical care to patients and families seen in PMHI clinical services
+ Collaborate with internal and external providers involved in a patient's care to coordinate on the treatment plan and progress
+ Provide clinical consultation for complex cases
+ Conduct psychological assessment and/or functional assessments with patients, as appropriate. Use results of assessments to inform development of individualized treatment plans and/or behavior plans, as needed

+ Contribute to the DOP teaching and scholarship in ways consistent with the expectations of CU faculty, advancing the standing of the Department

The Department of Psychiatry (DOP) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU), the Division of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (DCAMH), and the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) of Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) has an opening for a full-time faculty Psychologist in the NSC and Outpatient Neurodevelopmental Disorders Specialty Programs. The CU DCAMH, PMHI, and CHCO are combining to transform children's mental health care in Colorado, building a coordinated system, grounded in collaboration and partnership, that provides all children high-quality, evidence-based, youth- and family-centered care through an ambitious and comprehensive strategic plan. As part of this transformative work, we are creating comprehensive, evidence-based, outpatient specialty care programs, including a Neurodevelopmental Disorders Program. This program will complement our well-established NSC program, which provides inpatient/day treatment interdisciplinary care for youth with an intellectual or developmental disability who are experiencing a mental health crisis. We are looking for a psychologist to join our efforts in becoming a national leader in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
