Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and execute strategic plans for business development aimed at broadening market reach and boosting sales in the grocery sector.
- Perform market research and analysis to uncover fresh business prospects, comprehend market movements, consumer demands, and the competitive field.
- Drive sales growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities with grocery chains, independent grocery stores, and other relevant retail partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the grocery channel.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Grocery to negotiate agreements, determine pricing, and establish terms for prospective retail partners
- Track, monitor, and report on key performance metrics, sales forecasts, and market conditions to senior management.

The gross annual base salary is $120,000.
Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications:
- Strategic thinker with a strong background in sales, business development, and relationship management within the grocery channel.
- Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (masters degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the grocery channel.
- Proven track record of successful sales in related fields including eyewear, electronic accessories, balloons, plush toys, and miscellaneous general merchandise.
- Strong understanding of the grocery retail market and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel as needed up to 50%.
