Job Description:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor and report on patient vitals, symptoms, and progress
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
• Work collaboratively with NICU team members, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate and support the families of NICU patients, offering resources and guidance
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting (preferred)
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of NICU protocols and equipment

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
