About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse **Job Specialty:** NICU **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum 2+ years NICU experience **License:** Valid state license required, pending license accepted with proof of application **Certifications:** BLS **Must-Have:** - NICU IV experience - Recent Trach and Vent experience **Job Description:** - Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with 323 inpatient beds, 70 dedicated to Neonatal ICU. - Handle the highest level of care for premature and ill newborns as designated by The American Academy of Pediatrics. - Coordinate comprehensive care for various conditions including coagulation defects, congenital heart defects, ECMO, gastrointestinal disorders, genetic/metabolic disorders, prematurity, respiratory distress and failure, pulmonary hypertension, renal disorders, and sepsis. - Perform complex surgical procedures as needed for repairing congenital or acquired conditions. - Every other weekend and holiday shifts required, with the potential for floating to other critical care units. - Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation. - Required to start within 3-4 weeks from the offer and complete modules prior to orientation. - Must make up for any missed shifts within the same week. - Work with a diverse range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, and pediatric anesthesiologists on site. - Maintain compliance with COVID-19 vaccine requirements and complete necessary pre-start modules. - Being part of a non-smoking facility with zero tolerance for smoking anywhere on the premises.
