Night Caregiver Needed for Immobile Elderly Woman - Specialized Care
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced night caregiver to assist our mother, who is completely immobile due to strokes and has mild dementia. The ideal candidate will provide attentive care and support during evening and overnight hours, with a focus on transfer assistance and positioning.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced night caregiver to assist our mother, who is completely immobile due to strokes and has mild dementia. The ideal candidate will provide attentive care and support during evening and overnight hours, with a focus on transfer assistance and positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all transfers: bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to toilet, etc.
- Manage evening routine, including dinner assistance and feeding if necessary.
- Provide complete assistance with toileting and personal hygiene tasks.
- Perform regular repositioning every 2-3 hours throughout the night to prevent pressure sores.
- Conduct light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor father to ensure he doesn't leave the home and serve his dinner.
Essential Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience in caring for completely immobile patients, particularly stroke survivors.
- Proficiency in safe transfer techniques for non-ambulatory individuals.
- Understanding of dementia care principles.
- Ability to work overnight shifts (hours to be discussed).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Physical capability to assist with frequent transfers and repositioning of an immobile person.
